ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN applies all the ingredients of graphic design within the context of spatial relationships and materials. It’s exciting to take a client’s brand and extend it to work in three dimensions, such as inside an interior space or over the exterior of a vehicle.

When Alison T. Seymour, Inc., a specialist in natural-fiber floor coverings, was invited to participate in an interior design trade show, I designed the exhibition booth. I created a museum-like space with Japanese influences, featuring contemporary stonework in each corner and sample boards made from stained wood.

In recent years, I have stretched my design range to include restoring homes. My first major project was restoring and decorating my 1930s adobe home in Santa Fe.
